Perry Weisman, MD
Medical Director, WiseCare Urgent Care
Dr. Perry Weisman is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician with over two decades of clinical experience. He has served as Medical Director of WiseCare Urgent Care since its inception and grand opening in 2015, where he oversees clinical operations and actively delivers urgent care, primary care, and specialized administrative medical examinations.
Dr. Weisman graduated from St. George's University School of Medicine in Grenada in 1999. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, followed by a one-year fellowship in Heart Failure and Cardiovascular Medicine at Georgetown University Washington Hospital Center. He has been in active medical practice since 2002.
His extensive clinical background includes 19 years as an Emergency Department physician and 5 years as a hospitalist. He previously worked as an Emergency Department physician at Bowie Health Center and Laurel Regional Medical Center in Maryland (now part of the University of Maryland Medical System) from 2008 to 2017, and at the stand-alone Emergency Department in Crisfield, Maryland (now TidalHealth McCready Pavilion) from 2018 to 2020. He also worked at hospital emergency rooms in Ponca City, Oklahoma; Detroit Lakes, Minnesota; Alice, Texas; Peterborough, New Hampshire; and Tappahannock, Virginia, as well as HCA in Richmond, Virginia from 2013 to 2018. He currently practices full-time in the Emergency Department at Covenant Health in Plainview, Texas, but still has ample time to schedule FAA, USCIS, DOT, and direct primary care patient visits at WiseCare.
Specialized Certifications
Dr. Weisman is highly regarded for his expertise in occupational and immigration-related medical evaluations:
- Certified Airman Medical Examiner (AME) with the FAA since 2018, having completed his FAA Airman Medical Examiner training in Oklahoma City, OK, performing Class 1, 2, and 3 FAA physicals.
- Civil Surgeon with USCIS, performing immigration physicals with WiseCare since 2015.
- Certified Medical Examiner on the NRCME, providing DOT medical certifications for CDL applicants.
In 2025, Dr. Weisman toured the Boeing Factory in Everett, Washington — the world's largest building by volume — where he observed the 777 assembly line in action, further deepening his interest in aviation.
